Stars and the Moon uses the castmate model. This is where two or more performers support each other in exploring a role or performance together. at least one of whom identifies as living with a disability and/or neurodivergent. In our model, performers are given the opportunity to be either the primary support giver or support receiver.

As part of our audition process, all new performers are expected to attend a meet and greet with our Program Manager Tyla before being accepted into the program. This is so we can ensure you are partnered with a suitable castmate. Please book a time that suits you to meet in person (September 2, 4 or 7) They will be held in East St Kilda or surrounding areas. Please book HERE

Please submit either:

  • A 1-minute music theatre song that emphasises storytelling through song

    OR

  • A 1-minute performance of your choice inspired by a musical (this could include a movement-based or physical/theatrical piece or monologue for performers who prefer not to sing)

Please select the time slots you are available to rehearse on Wednesdays or Thursdays (October 22 – November 30). While you will only be scheduled for one, we encourage you to select as many options as possible
November 26 after 6.00pm, November 27 after 6.00pm are mandatory full runs. Sunday November 30 is a full day of tech/the show. These are compulsory rehearsals that I must attend to be able to engage in the Showcase program.
